About networking and community … and me

In the last few years there has been a lot of talking about Web 2.0 and on how Internet can be a tool for people to be better connected to each other; we got the RSS feeds to be able to aggregate news from various sites to a single interface, we have Facebook and MySpace to be connect with friends, Twitter to quickly broadcast short messages, and many more services.

Over the last few months I started to explore the various services to see if and how they are useful to broadcast whatever message I want to communicate.

Updated my PGP key

Posted on | August 27, 2009 | Comments Off

Hi all,
I know that I am not writing anything on this blog (as matter of fact even Silicon Gadget is having its low period), but I am still thinking of the topics I want to focus here. :)

Anyway, I am making this post to let you know that I made some update to my PGP key. The ID, fingerprint, and main e-mail address are still the same, but I revoked some subkey related to old e-mail addresses and added some subkey to new addresses.

You can find more info on the PGP key page.

A moment for the earthquake in Italy

Posted on | April 6, 2009 | Comments Off

My first post in this blog goes to a sad and unfortunate event: the earthquake that stroke central Italy, my own country.

You probably heard it on the news and if you need more info you can search news aggregation sites like Google News.

The earthquake had its epicenter in the city of L’Aquila, the capital city of the Abruzzo region, and it is responsible for the deaths of 90 people and about 40,000 people become homeless.

I want to dedicate a moment of silence to all those poor people.
